A Walking stick gun, probably 1830s. Has “Day’s Patent” stamped on it, with “JR” beneath, “15” on one side and two other obscure marks. 89cms long, bore 13.5mm and smooth. Trigger is not concealed / drop down. Wooden stock is in excellent condition and is a built-in shoulder stock design (rather than bent walking stick type). Appreciate that barrels were often painted to resemble bark or wood but – if this example was – none of it remains. Otherwise it looks complete and in very good condition – for example, the percussion nipple is intact, there are no cracks in the stock and the muzzle cap is present.
